Monster Mystery

An unidentified creature was allegedly washed ashore dead on a beach near Montauk, a hamlet in New York in July 2008. The creature was said to be big, bloated, beaked, and rather gross-looking and caused quite a stir, with CNN and Fox News covering the story and it became a hot topic for discussion in the Internet. An unidentified woman claimed that the animal was just the size of a cat and there were also speculation that the creature was just a turtle without its shell or some kind of mutant from an experiment. Cryptozoologist, Loren Coleman came up with the name, Montauk Monster for the creature and the name stuck. Presently, another strange creature has been reported to have been washed up on a Long Island beach and there has been talk about the Montauk Monster again. An unidentified creature will always been considered a monster!

Is it really an inspiration?

THE FEATHER floated down lightly in the breeze and fell at his feet. The camera shows him bending down to pick it up and reveals his face for the first time. Suddenly, village-lad Gajaraj blurts out aloud, “Arrey, yeh tho apna Aamir bhai hai!” (This is our Aamir). Gajaraj and his city-bred cousin Gautham were at a multiplex watching Tom Hank’s Forrest Gump. Aamir Khan resembles Tom Hanks every bit. Their quest for perfection as well as the fineness of their performance is as outlandish as their looks akin.

The tradition of impersonation is well hidden under the rug of ‘inspiration’ in our very own Bollywood with the stars ‘studying’ the characters to get into the boots of their chosen roles. Dev Anand was the debonair in town, sprucely dressed with an off the clout delivery of smooth lines with unique style.

One only needs to watch Anand's pageant gait, the stiff backed walk with casual fling of the arms and the mischievous chase by the lover-boy making girls swoon, to see the style of Gary Cooper and Gregory Peck being mimicked to perfection. He has always been open about his ‘inspiration’.

Bollywood’s dimpled item Preity Zinta was caught up in the storm of media when she made waves, being compared to Drew Barrymore. Very bubbly, exuberant, brave and enthusiastic, she has played her part well to earn the name. The resemblance between Preity Zinta and Drew Barrymore is so much that they could have been sisters.

Says the gorgeous leading lady Suchitra Pillai, “It is perfectly fine to impersonate your role model. If you are inspired so much and your role demands the character of the person, then why not?” “However”, she adds her bit of advice, “insert your own personal touches. Doesn’t just be a clone.”

It is not just about looking alike.

It is about aping the character, the psyche of the person, flaunting the style and capturing the hearts. John Abraham might deny it, but his natural approach is in such panache so much as to match with Antonio Banderas, cites a fan site.

The latest in the bandwagon is Kangana Ranaut, all set to be Audrey Hepburn of Bollywood. “She was a classy dresser back then. I would love to be her”, says Kangana. This sexy bombshell is now on a spree, experimenting with heavy makeup, scarves, narrow trousers and long eyelashes to get the perfect Hepburn look. They say there are seven people in the world who are just like you.
Looks like these stars have found one if not many, quite among the stars

Underdogs face-off in final

IN A second semi final upset, the barely qualified Royal Challengers Bangalore beat the favourites, Chennai Super Kings to qualify for the finals of the Indian Premier League 2009. It was just a day earlier that the Deccan Chargers upset Delhi Daredevils in a spectacular burst of energy to clinch a final berth. The final now would be played by the two bottom most teams of IPL 2008.

It however becomes more interesting in predicting the outcome of the finals. Would the Adam Gilchrist lead monarchy beat the barely legal Kumble-Dravid unit? Could the underdogs capitalise on their new found confidence? Would they be able to boast of a title that only the Rajasthan Royal has won before? One cannot say. It was all rest in the throw of that dice and the direction of the wind, in the edge of a bat and the tips of a fielder. Performance would be one factor and luck another.

Post Election result scenario

It was never predicted by analysts. Neither was it screened by the exit poll cameras. But it happened. The thing, which happens in a century in any stock market, happened in the Indian stock market. Indian stock indices surged 20 per cent in one day. On May 18, the Bombay sensitive index or Sensex surged 2111 points in a single day. This was the greatest in the history of Bombay stock exchange. Trading had taken place for just below two minutes and halted for the whole day due to aggressive buying. This was a clear indication that United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government’s policy will be in favour of markets. Market believes that the disinvestment policy will get a clear green signal. UPA is going to take the reins of the country without the support of the Left parties. That also gave some sort of relief to market men.

Predictions are touching the skies now. Some predict that Sensex will break the last record of 21,000 and then it will head towards the 35,000 mark. Some predict even higher figures. The two days after the ‘Golden Monday’ were not very bright. Huge volatility was witnessed on Tuesday and on Wednesday indices closed in red. Huge profit booking is taking place in the market. But analysts calculate that this will not last long and market will surge with in no time.

Issues and Possibilities for UPA government

UPA came into power as a result of the verdict in favour of a stable government. They should realise that this is not a blind verdict. UPA is getting five long years to lead the country once again. Left parties have been marginalised by the people across the country. But it is not because their policies were wrong. It is because the people needed a stable government.

Insurance and aviation Bills are up in the sleeves of the UPA government. They can take it out at any time. Disinvestment and privatisation are the other two main areas of Interest. It is a fact that during the Congress government, some quick changes in the political scenario of the country have taken place. Dr Manmohan Singh was the main architect of these reforms. During the last tenure of the UPA government, the country’s growth rate witnessed an immediate jump- from the five-plus figure of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) rule to nine per cent during UPA regime.

The atomic energy agreement with the US was another milestone of their rule.
But the Left parties left the Union and protested against it. The proposed hike in FDI in the insurance sector was another area where the Left had disagreement. Another was with the pension fund dissolving. These things didn’t happen only because of the protest of the Left parties. Now the UPA has the numbers, which can defeat a No Confidence Motion. If they move blindly in order to satisfy the corporate, it will prove wrong in the long term. But they have to look after the country’s growth rate also.

Indian rupee regained its strength in three days after the election results. This is a clear sign, which indicates that FIIs are way back in their road to Indian capital market. History says that Sensex reached 14,000 mark due to the buying interest of the Indian retail investors. After that, the gain of 7000 points was made by the FIIs. If this happens again, then market will surge. But the government will have to look after the problems of the common man also. As recession shows withdrawal syndrome, there are many green signals ahead for the Indian economy.

Will Indian Economy Stabilize?

As seen from the report of RBI the Indian Economy is still in a mood of puzzle. India`s Industrial output has come down to a low economic downturn which is uncommon in the past 15 years. Another unhappy report has come out from the Central Statistical Organization (CSO) that India’s industrial growth rate shrank by 2.3% in March09 as against it was 5.5% in the same period last year. It is a matter of serious concern.

The production side, particularly the metal and alloys have shown a deep deceleration which leads to sluggishness in the investment markets. It is a matter to be worried. Therefore, our Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had a serious discussion with key economist in the meeting held on 12-May-09. The meeting was concluded with a positive note that the announcement of the Government in reducing the banking lending rate would push the investment in large and thereby make the Indian Economy steady. Let us also be hopeful.

Manali what a beautiful and adventurous place!!!!!!

Manali! what I should say about Manali. Its one of the most beautiful place of India. Manali's cool atmosphere provides a perfect heaven for the ones afflicted by the hot Indian summers. It is famous for adventure sports like skiing, hiking, mountaineering, para gliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, and mountain biking. It also offers hot springs, spectacular religious shrines and temples, Tibetian Buddhist temples, and trekking in the surrounding mountains.

Naggar Fort/castle south of Manali a reminder of the 1500 year old Pal Dynasty. Made from rocks, stones, and elaborate wood carvings, it is an ensemble of the rich and elegant artworks of Himachal. The castle was later converted to a rest house and luxury hotel/Heritage hotel under the Himachal Tourism.

Rohtang Pass is another adventure tourist site where it can be cold even on a summer day. It is the highest point on the Manali-Keylong road and provides a wide panoramic view of mountains rising far above clouds, which is truly breath taking. Close by is a small lake called Dassaur Lake. Beas Kund, the source of river Beas, is also nearby. In winter, the road of Rothang Pass is closed.

Their is lot more to say about Manali. If I go on on saying right now it will take months to complete it.Its better you should go yourself and enjoy the beauty of Manali!!!

Belle(Beautiful) London!!!

Its color was hazy blue and its sounds were muted, yet very resounding. It’s the London of cozy cafés and small bistros, of tiny maids rooms tucked away under eaves, of concierges who called sweet phonations and invite everyone in with open hearts and sparkling souls.

London is glamorous and London is elegant. It is exciting. If Plato in his scale of values named an absolute City, it would be London. It has all the good and best a city needs plus an undefinable something else. In short, it has the perfect urban mix. Teeming London is full of attractions and it has everything for everyone in abundance.

London’s every attraction is premier. The Eye stands a whopping 135 metres high on the South Bank between Waterloo and Westminster Bridges, right opposite Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and provides stunning views over central London and beyond. Buckingham Palace, Palace of Westminster, Madame Tussaud’s joint, Tower of London and much more is awaiting the eyes of the thirsty ones.

Europe's busiest shopping area is Oxford Street, a shopping street nearly 1 mile (1.6 km) long — which makes it the longest shopping street in the world — and home to many shops and department stores including Selfridges. London is home to designers Vivienne Westwood, Galliano, Stella McCartney, Manolo Blahnik, and Jimmy Choo among others.

London offers a great variety of cuisine as a result of its ethnically diverse population.Centres include the Bangladeshi restaurants of Brick Lane and the Chinese food restaurants of Chinatown.

Beautiful LONDON!!!!

Heat at its high in India!!

Its been a hard summer for people of whole of India. The winter this January and February was not that cold in most part of India and now this summer the heat has crossed all the boundaries.

This summer is recorded as one of the hottest summer in history of India. Its too hot out in India.People are going mad, crazy.Lacs of people are avoiding to go out of their house due to heat.Heat is unbearable these days in India. This heat is killing people.Children has stop playing outside in the open due to this heat.Roads are literally empty in the noon.

Average temperature in most of states of India are 4-5 degree above normal and still 1 and half month of summer is left.I think its going to be like a hell out in India. In some of major cities like in Delhi it is 41,in Ahmedabad it is 43,in Indore it is 45,and same situation is in other cities of different states. Its literally like people have been made to stand in an oven. Its that much hot in India. Some incidents of people dying due to heat have also been reported. It is very heart breaking to hear this sort of news.

But this heat will come as a lottery for all ice gola guys and icecream walas. You go anywhere you will see queues of people eating ice golas and icecreams. These things gives lots of statisfaction to people.

But I would really pray that this heat doesnt last for too long and lives of people will come back to normal.

Low turnout of people at poll!!!!!

Its very shocking to know that in a country like India, which is the largest democracy of the whole world, the average voting percentage of 4 phases out of 5 phase is approx. 50-55 %.
It is very shameful to know the country, which has largest number of voters,in that country people are not going out to vote. These people should be ashamed of themselves. And the stupidest reason they are giving that its very hot outside and they are not willing to go out in this scorching heat only to cast their vote.
Our basic right is to cast our vote.We are been given a power to select our candidate and people go on making these excuses what will happen to a country then.First of all people don't cast their votes and they say this Government is bad or they haven't done this or that.If these people don't cast their vote then they also don't have any right to say about the Government. These people should be banned or casting vote should be made compulsory.
Still one phase of poll is left.I still hope that the people of the states where still elections are left to be held, come out of their homes irrespective of heat and cast their vote.
GO! GO PEOPLE!!!CAST YOUR VOTE!!!

2009 H1N1(Swine)flu outbreak

Everyone knows about recent H1N1 flu, famously known as swine flu.
The virus seem to have evolved to a stronger form because of the abuse of antibiotics, which have been used to keep the pigs alive in the extreme conditions needed to maximize profit. But people have a misconception that this flu spreads due to consumption of pork.It is not true.WHO has confirmed that H1N1 is not due to consumption of pork.If the pig is properly cooked and consumed then their is no risk of consuming it.However the exact reason of this flu is not yet confirmed.

Outbreaks in humans are now occurring from human-to-human transmission. When infected people cough or sneeze, infected droplets get on their hands, drop onto surfaces, or are dispersed into the air. Another person can breathe in contaminated air, or touch infected hands or surfaces, and be exposed.

To prevent spread, people should cover their mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing, and wash their hands regularly.

Save Animals

Just imagine that you are sitting in your house watching television with your family and having supper and suddenly a Bulldozer appears out of nowhere and knocks down one of your bedrooms. The next night it appears again and knocks down another bedroom and the same the following night. On the third night it knocks down your kitchen. The next night your bathroom. You only have one room left for you and your family.

THIS IS WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE ORANG UTANS OF SOUTH EAST ASIA!

THEY HAVE JUST NOWHERE ELSE TO GO!

Why is there so little money available for World Wildlife Conservation?
The world's politicians are too busy spending billions on building bigger and better weapons.I dont know why these dont spend money on conservation of wildlife instead of buying weapons.

Dogs in China
In Xichang Province in China dogs are daily taken from breeding farms and have their throats cut and are bled to death in the manner seen below whilst other dogs look on.

Horses in USA
The Horse Racing Industry where horses which "don't make the grade" that is don't make any money are routinely sent to the slaughter house to end up as either pet food or a cullinary delight on some French dinner table. A recent program on Australian television filmed by Channel 4 in the UK followed the trail of "failed horses". The trail from England led to slaughter houses in europe where the animals are destroyed en masse, even horses from the Queen's Stable. A similar fate lies for failed greyhounds although they usually end up on a vivisector's table or in a mass dumping ground. So much for the "civilised west". The atitude is that that once an animal is no longer bringing in any money they don't deserve to reside on the planet.

Pakistan Asian Black Bears
In Pakistan Asian Black Bear parents are slaughtered and the cubs are taken and raised in cages in which they are unable to lift their arms. They are declawed and ALL their teeth are extracted. They are raised in these confined conditions to eventually be taken to the mountain regions of Pakistan where they are tethered to a rock and Pit Bull Terriers are let loose on them whilst the on looking crowd make bets on how long it will survive. Having no way to defend itself it is slowly torn apart by the dogs. Actual video of this happenining was shown on Australia's 60 Minutes. The video was made covertly. A number of Pakistani Army Officers were evident in the front row making bets on the outcome.

People should wake up and help these animals to get their living back and should protest against those who are cruel towards animals.

The animals have no-one but us,we will not fail them.
ACTION NEEDED.STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY.

Congress Nervous of losing elections.

2009 General Elections of India are much difficult to predict as compared to previous elections.BJP and Congress are in closet battle to become the party with maximum number of seats. The elections are now in 4th phase and its difficult to say which party will emerge as winner.
But with interview given by rahul gandhi and unhealthy politics played by congress it seems congress are scared of loosing elections.First they granted seat to Tytler accused of 84 riots. Then
suddenly quatrocchi gets clean chit from the famous bofors case and then accusing Mr. Narendra Modi of holding riots in Gujarat, that too after he was cleared of the charge by Nanavati Commision. And now this interview by rahul gandhi.First he says that their is lot more common between congress and Communist Party. He knows that after Left pull out support on that nuclear issue they are not willing to support congress.Left made ti clear in previous interviews that they will noit support congress. So to please them he is giving this comments. But Rahul should know that Mamta Banargee and Left will never go together. Now he tries to please Nitish Kumar, one of cheif member of NDA led by BJP.He is playing politics of divide and rule.He thinks nitish kumar is foolish enough to break bonds with NDA and go into UPA. Mr.Rahul Gandhi please make your thoughts clear of getting which party in UPA.Because if you keep on trying your hands on all the parties, the parties who are supporting you will also take your support as per Lalu yadav and Left.
This interview clearly shows that congress is scared of loosing this elections and Rahul gandhi dont think that people are stupid enough to get into this politics of yours.
People want change.

IPL fever going up and up

IPL 2009 is going guns.I have been closely following this tournament and its very difficult to predict which team will get into top 4,except Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) who has just won 1 out of 9 games. The points table is really packed up with only 1 point separating top 4 and another 1 point separating 5,6,7.The tournament is on a high this year.Right now Delhi Daredevils is on top with 5 win under their belt, and Chennai Superkings 2nd, with Mumbai Indians according to me the strongest team of tournament,is on 7th out of 8.But if they win today against Deccan Chargers they will move upto 2nd.Its that much a unpredictable tournament. Its the greatest cricketing tournament and salute to lalit modi that despite of all the delays and controversies of Government not allowing IPL to be organised in INDIA because of election,he got IPL arranged in SOUTH AFRICA and everyone got to see this amazing tournament. This will also be an oppurtunity for youngsters to show their talent and have a chance of getting selected in their respective national sides.
JAI HO IPL
